Physiotherapy a new era in Medicine beginning in India, Nepal & Other Countries
The physiotherapy (BPT & MPT) courses academically subject constituting of about 85% of MBBS Syllabus, the course has a balance combination of subject in relation to Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation with substantial components of Medical subjects and basic science which include Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-chemistry, Pharmalogy, Ophthalmology, Cardio-Thoracic Medicine, ENT, Neurology, Dermatology and Pediatrics. In addition to this, Physiotherapy includes therapeutic exercise, Electrotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Hydrotherapy. Rehabilitation is structured around the technique of Bio-metrics, Prosthetic and Orthotic appliances Occupational Therapy, Social medicine, Community Medicine, Bio - statistic, Yoga, Acupuncture and Sports Medicine.
MPT course consists of various specialties like Musculoskeletal and sports, Neurological and Psychosomatic disorders, Cardio respiratory disorders, C.B.R, Paediatric disorders etc..
The method of treatment now under the Physiotherapy originally adopted by our ancestors in ancient days and grown along with human in evolution manner the same method adopted scientifically after various research and brought the same in universities Government and public at large in all level which is accepted ancient treatment without applying the medicine for preventing the side effect. Physiotherapists treat patient without drugs but with help of modern equipments & Therapy.
As per the decision of Indian Association of Physiotherapist (IAP). the successful candidates shall be called as DOCTOR / Dr. in Physical Therapy by way of mentioning the prefix as Dr. designation before the "NAME" and after the name mentioning as Physiotherapist or BPT / MPT.
